How to access
your CodeBox.
A short walkthrough for opening the RentSmart digital lockbox at your scheduled showing — watch the video, then follow the six steps below.
Six steps to your showing.

Text the Showing Coordinator
Text the last 4 digits of the lockbox serial number to the Showing Coordinator. They'll reply with your access code.

Enter your access code
Input the code on the lockbox keypad and press the Enter button to confirm.

Open the lockbox
Push the CodeBox logo on the front of the device to release the door. It will swing open to reveal the key compartment.
- 04
Take out the key
Remove the key from the compartment. Use it to unlock the property for your showing.

Return the key
Once the showing is complete, place the key back into the lockbox compartment.
- 06
Close until it clicks
Firmly close the lockbox door until you hear a click. The click confirms the device is secured.
Two quick things to check on your way out.
- Lockbox latched. Push the door firmly until it clicks. If it doesn't click, the key won't be secured for the next viewer.
- Property locked. Confirm the front door (and any other exterior doors you used) are locked before you leave the property.
